We encourage parents to be part of our band by becoming a Band Mom or Dad.

Whether performances are in our own community or across the region, we always try and set  the highest performance standards. We will continue to maintain these high standards throughout the year.

Warrior Band T-Shirt: All band students must purchase a band T-shirt. This is a white T-shirt with the Warrior Band logo on the back and the band member’s name on the left front. This T-shirt meets school dress code requirements. They are to be worn to all parades (under band uniform) and concerts when concert dress is not worn. The cost is $15.00 each.  No band t-shirt, no performance.

Marching Band Uniform: Marching band members will be issued a marching band uniform, which will be hung in room 33. The band uniform will only be available when needed for public performances. It consists of trousers, a coat, and shako hat. Band parents are responsible for hemming their child’s uniform. Dates will be set up for uniform hemming. There is a $5 hemming charge for parents who do not hem their child’s uniform.

In all instances, the student is responsible for his/her uniform parts, and will be required to pay the cost of repair and/or replacement of damaged or lost parts.

Each marching band member will wear his entire uniform when involved in a performing function with the marching band.  The band uniform must be worn in the correct manner-no “saggin and baggin” pants, hats worn backwards, etc.  Students should wear light gym shorts under their pants, with band t-shirt worn under their jacket. Blue jeans and bulky sweatshirts worn under the uniform create a rumpled look, and are not acceptable.

Members are not permitted to eat, or drink any soda/juice while in uniform!!! Only water allowed.

Marching Shoes: These shoes are part of the marching band uniform, and are the only shoes to be worn while in uniform. The cost of these shoes is $20.00.  Band members will be measured for shoe size during the uniform fitting session. All marching band students will need their BLACK marching shoes. Band members will be inspected prior to departure for a public performance, to insure that their uniforms are clean and complete, with shoes polished. Earrings, nail polish or sunglasses are not to be worn during parades.

All uniforms are to be returned to room 33 no later than 30 minutes after the band's arrival on the campus following a public performance.

All uniforms will be cleaned following the final marching event of the season. A dry-cleaning fee of $7.00 will be collected in May for this purpose.

 

Concert Attire: For festivals, competitions, and certain concerts, band members (male & female) will be required to wear a white button down shirt (either long or short sleeve), black long pants (no jeans), and black shoes (no tennis, sneakers or flip flops). Those who are not properly attired for these events will not be allowed to participate. The school will provide bowties and cummerbunds for all students.
